    Bad speakers?

    I have a 2018 cougar with speakers built in the seats and when you turn the radio up about half way the seat speakers start rattling and crackling like they are blown up or something, they sound terrible anyone else had this problem, I bought it used so I don’t know what they sounded like new.

    The factory will replace them if they are Audiovox and yes, they’ve been overdriven by the former owner most likely. It requires a balance of the front and rear adjusted and they are not overwhelmingly loud.

    If these are Kickers, then that’s a different story as those should not be able to be overdriven by the stock system and that’s just a screw up.
