Seeking suggestions

My motor was just rebuilt.

i have a 2001 225 hp 3.1 ox66 Top
a 2004 3.1 ox66 mid and lower from a 200 hp

after the rebuild I lost 5-6 mph top end with the same prop.

it was suggested that the lower unit has different gears and this is the issue.

had the hpdi low water pick up lower unit.

the boat is a 2001 Skeeterzx250

any suggestions to get my 5 mph back?

Find a 250hp ox lower, 1.75 ratio or another hpdi lower. Same ratio. If you are on the limiter, as you should be, then you could prop up in pitch. Cj
