Took dads boat out this past weekend and everything was great.
Get back to the ramp and noticed an oil drip from under the cowl.
After looking around we noticed the Internal Oil Res twist on lid is a little loose.
It almost feels stripped since you can't tighten it all the way.
Is that how it's supposed to be?
Anything else I can look at or do y'all think I found it and just need to swap out that res?

If it is stripped, the tank assembly will need to be replaced, and an oil pump prime sequence run.
Most commonly occurs from over-tightening the cap (normally no more than 1/4 turn after contacting the o-ring).
