2017 skeeter glove box wont shut

I had the cheap glove box that came on the boat. i ordered the carpeted one. put it on and it wont latch . its not the latch its the box seems like its not closing down far
enouth to catch the latch any suggestions. Should i find something small to put under the latch i screwed down to lift it up a little .

That would be the simple and suitable fix if everything else is sitting good and flush. I would do it.

I had to do the same thing when adding it to my 2016

Open it up, put a little white out on the latch, close the lid, open the lid, check where the latch is hitting the latch keep. May be just out of alignment.
