    What size hook?

    What size hook should I buy if I am trying to pour jigheads for a 2.8” Keitech Fat Swing Impact? I currently use a 4/0 Mustad 32746 hook for the 3.8” Keitech.

    Why wouldn’t you just use the same size or go down a size

    I like the 2/0 EWG for those. Still lets the tail have enough action.

    I realize you said you want to pour your own. I'd be interested to hear what you find works best. But I wanted to mention the Dirty Jigs Matt Stefan Guppy Head. They're sold on Tackle Warehouse. Each different weight comes with either a 1/0 or 3/0 hook depending on your preference. The description of the jighead even specifically mentions the 2.8 Keitech. I just think they look perfect and will fit perfect. I'm ordering them in the 1/0 size. That 2.8 keitech is really thin. I've been using a round VMC jighead that I bought cheap someplace years ago. It's not bad. But I'd like something better. Please let us know what you learn as far as pouring them.

    I bought some 2/0 and 1/0 hooks. I am really pleased with the 1/0...gives the bait alot of action. The 2/0 would work as well, but is a little big in my opinion.
