I'm thinking of modifying a transit van into a custom RV for short camping/fishing trips. Anyone have experience w/ these vans and what do you think?

Great idea.
Ive always towed with a econoline
van. 30 years later no more Ecnoline
vans. I'm looking at a 250 Transit
mid level roof van for my next truck.
I'm not happy with the look but very
roomy. I'm thinking it would make a
great little RV.
What is the stand up height in the mid level roof? I was thinking the high roof so I could stand up in it. Another option is the Chevy Express w/ the 6.0 and installing an after market raised roof which would give 6'3" of standing height.

We have 2 new transit350 vans at work. They are comfortable to drive and the taller models have alot of room inside. They have several configurations ours are standard passenger height for school sports trips. Ours dont have fhe ecoboost just the standard v6. While power isnt bad its very course we call it the can of rocks lol. Not a very refined engine.
