I will be in Baton Rouge next week the 28th and 29th hanging out during the day while the wife is in a conference. Anyone have an open back seat or know of a lake I can walk that is worth going to? Thanks

You can walk and fish the LSU lakes in downtown Baton Rouge.
Thanks. What do you throw there? Any idea what size bass are in there?

Never fished it. Don't think it's too deep. I'd try a Texas worm, wacky worm or spinnerbait. One of the top ten Louisiana bass came from the lakes. Think the correct name is University Lakes.
Unfortunately, BR doesn’t offer much. Best bet is to sneak onto a neighborhood pond.
Lamar Dixon Expo Center has ponds you can fish. St. James Boat Club has a large area to fish, even some swings for the kids if they get bored.
BREC Pond on N. Sherwood Forest and one on Hooper Road in Central. Blackwater Conservation Area in Central as well.
