I haven't bought the new ones at all. Are they as bad as people say . I loved them for the past 18 years. Will I really need to pay $7-9 for the older models ? I think I bought them for $2.79 back when I was a young man.

I have some of both. People complained about the now older ones when they switched from triple grips as not being the same. I haven't noticed much of a difference when it comes to catching fish.

I mainly throw the 200's. I catch as many fish on either.
