I have a glock and SW MP shield, both outstanding, glock is more accurate out of the box, but the small frame shield is surprisingly easy to shoot. and very accurate.

I would skip all those and get a CZ75, BHP, or Beretta 92

a lot of people will list Glock but to me the grips are uncomfortable.

My favorite, at this point, is Walter PPQ M2.

I have a VP, Shield, Sig 365 and a Canik TP9SFX. For range duty and accuracy, the Canik is by far the most accurate. Too big for me to Carry, but damn accurate on paper and steel plates.

Beretta 92 too big and clunky for a carry gun

Love my G19. Really thought it wouldn’t be an option for me when I was shopping around as I had heard complaints from others and have pretty large hands myself. The included backstraps (gen 4 and newer) made that seem like much less of an issue when handling it at the counter, and actually firing it confirmed it. I couldn’t be happier. Never had a misfire with over 1,500 rounds through it, though I know that’s peanuts compared to what a lot of guys do.

Cant say those are the best, maybe the most spent on marketing. The Sig 226 is a sweet gun, gotta agree with that.

All kinda depends on what you are wanting to do with the gun. Is it a carry for protection or just shoot holes in paper?

Absolutely agree. Sorry, just saw the thread title & didn’t realize it was for carry. In that case, I change my vote to A commander sized bobtail 1911 preferably in the Dan Wesson flavor in a real man’s 9mm (9x23win or .38 super)!

That's why I'm building a Polymer 80 around the G19 platform. I like the ergos a bit better.

I didn't like the grips on the Glock at first..... but its one of the best guns in the world. It is accurate and super reliable. The grips are easily changeable or you can get em coated or whatever its called to something else. I have a Glock 26 and a 42. I want a Glock 17. Sig is a really nice gun I just don't like the single/double action or the safety.

Another vote for the XD's here. I own two. My edc is the 3.3 and it shoots as smooth as any semi I have ever shot.
