I to thought the shield was the perfect carry gun until I bought and carry(every day) a Kimber Micro in stainless.

I've got a few g22 mags but mostly use the 17.
Also have a lone wolf 9mm barrel and 26 and 19 mags for it. These guns are so modular. It may not be the prettiest but it's accurate and with always go bang.
I have carried my 27 everyday for over 20 years.

I like my Springfield xd models. Second choice is the M&p shield because of feel and has a sweet trigger from the factory. Never been a glock fan

I carry a 45 with a 4' barrel and have shot 1000s of rounds with it. Wife carries the same, never an issue with either of them. If your having problems with them its not the gun, its operator error and failed to read instructions. Kimbers are designed for the heavier grains, and they don't like wad cutters. If I didn't trust this gun I would get a Wilson.

Big difference between a factory line created $1200 Kimber AND a custom hand made $5000 Wilson. I know the Kimber functions fine...they are just lacking in the "quality for the dollar" department. I personally think the Springfield is higher quality. I own both.

Ditto....I love my G19. It's accurate and easy to learn. I've trained a few people that were new to handguns on it. They can't believe how nice it shoots.
Been fishin' since I was 5 years old...Thanks Grandpa!

I carry mine just fine. It's probably one of the best 9mm handguns made.
