I just opened Google Maps to check the traffic on IH45 between here and Southeast Houston.
Right there I see.......
Well I deleted the link cuz it had more of my info on it than I wanted to share.
The location and the time of my appointment PASTED right there on the map!
I did NOT put it there.

Did you put the appointment in your phone’s reminders or calender app? Android or Apple?
Google scans with its AI based ranking everything inside GMAIL and uses it to direct highly qualified ad's. Why do you think they give it away? BTW, iPhones and Androids listen to you, as does the Alexa style apps.....this is why these companies are worth as much as they are because they can gather this "personal" information and sell it...
Want to stop it? Look at things like TOR and Duckduckgo browsers, get off GMAIL, Facebook, Instagram, don't use google search (duckduckgo), etc....
There are some good books on how to take yourself "out of the net" if you care about it....

Squire hit the nail on the head. Google knows every breath you take and how many exit your azz. If I have an appointment that I received an e-mail acknowledgment, Google puts it in my calendar. I've fallen for the convenience of Google & Chrome. If I go to Tackle Warehouse or TH Marine's sites, then my browsing is crammed with ads from those companies. On top of that, if you have an Android based phone, Google owns the OS too, so yeah it spies on your as well. There was a good segment on 60 Minutes a couple of weeks ago where the EU has grabbed Google & Facebook by the short hairs and fined the dog doo out of them. In addition, new laws have been written to forbid them from mining personal data. Something that seriously needs to happen here in the US.

I do not use a calendar on my mobile device or my compooter.
Everything is wrote down on the calendar on the fridge.
And believe it or not I made it to my appointment without the use of gps

It works fine for me. I'd just forget a lot more stuff if I didn't set up reminders. I'm not worried about big brother knowing I have a doctor appointment.
Even the old coots know how to use a mobile device. Not sure if that is good or bad. I have become so dependent on GPS I cant find my way around DFW of a major waterway.
Been using duckduckgo and ads have dropped off a bunch,,,
