    smoking a small brisket flat?

Will be smoking a small brisket for the first time tomorrow. Have watched several videos on how to do this. All the videos were of large briskets. Is there an an average hour per pound for timing the brisket? Thanks!

Ive never worried with the weight et I always just go off of internal temp. I use a remote temp probe that links to my phone. Granted I'm not cooking on a schedule either.

Gotta be careful on a flat. Especially if it's trimmed off. Maybe an hour/lb but the temp is the key. Its a good guestimate though.
