    Cougar prop suggestions??

2012 Cougar FTD was previously running a Fury 4 26p. I lost an ear about 1/4" above the barrel and I am now looking for prop options. I have a 26p 3 blade fury that I do NOT like the way the boat performs with it vs the 4 blade. I could turn the Fury 4 75mph @ 6k. I am considering going to a Bravo 1 Xs just looking for other opinions that have ran similar set ups.

I recently got a Bravo 1 XS for my Eyra and so far I like it. I ran Fury 4’s before.

I run a 25 Fury 3. It does all I want it to do. I had a 26 Fury 4 and was not a fan of it. I lost 3-4 mph and really did not gain anything else except I could stay on plane a little slower. I may send the 25 to Ronnie Gilbert to work his magic but other than that, I am 100% happy.

Do you have problems with hitting your rev limiter with your 25p? I have a 25 fury on my cougar and can' keep it from hitting the limiter

    what motor?
granted my 03 Cougar is a little older than yours but its the same hull. I run a 25p Tempest plus and mine runs great. Mine has a 225 EFI Merc. 72.4 max speed so far with just a quick setup haven't really messed around with prop height yet to see what I can get out of it.

During this time of year through February/early March I can but just lower my JP to keep it off the limiter. I have a 26 Fury for this time of year but don’t use it much at all.

I run a 27p Trophy Plus on my 2003 Cougar FTD. Motor is a 2003 Merc Racing 250 XS. Not sure of the prop to pad height. Nice hole shot and runs upper 70's with ease.
