Minn Kota I-pilot adapter questions

Have a couple questions for y'all.....I have a 2015 Minn kota terrova 80lb thrust. I am wanting to get the I-pilot adapter for it mostly for the spot lock. I have been researching for a while.....Will my foot pedal still work with the I-pilot? How close does the spot lock keep you to your spot? How long does it take the spot lock to engage? I just wanted to get some input before I make the investment.

I put one on a Terrova soon after they made it available as an add on.
It did not change my pedal. ..Like you, I purchased for the spot lock..
It would engage as soon as you hit the button..
On a windy day the original one I had might move 15 feet in any direction, which could make for a 25 to 30 ft swing Surely the ones now will be like my Ultrex and keep you within a few feet.
There are a few tricks you will learn, like to nose the boat into the wind or current before locking.
I don't know what they cost now but I will never be without one..
