This just in 11/14/2018 -- Ultrex Warranty

Effective November the 12, 2018, The MinnKota Ultrex will now have a 3yr warranty instead of the original 2yr warranty. This will be retroactive to all Ultrex's since introduction, except for the factory rebuilt (FR) motors. This warranty will start at the date of purchase to the original owner. This is MinnKota's way of showing both confidence in the unit and thanking those that have purchased, or will purchase the unit.

Thanks for the info. Is there another location to find serial number besides on bottom of the Ultrex foot pedal? My fishing partner showed me a picture of his foot pedal and there is no serial number on the bottom.

It is suppose to be under the push button on the outside wall of the upper half of the foot pedal. If there is none there then it must not have been place at factory(which I don't believe is possible) or the upper part of the foot pedal was replaced and the one who replaced it did not put some sort of tag to indicate the serial number. In that case there is no way to know what the serial number is.

As Brad said above. If there is no sticker there, then he would have to show proof of purchase for the warranty.
