AS GPS HS Configuration Question

Hello all. With winter fast approaching up here in the Great White North (Canada) it is time to start planning the upgrade for next year. Looking at the newer version of Helix Mega+. I have most of the info regarding networking but I can't find any info about the sharing capability of the AS GPS HS. What I would like to know is if I connect it to 1 Helix unit, are the other units in the network able to see/use the Heading Sensor or would I have to get a separate Heading Sensor for each unit.

Helix units do not share heading and GPS separately. If you want share the AS GPS HS to multiple units, the GPS location for all will be the same.

Humminbird does not have just a Heading Sensor accessory.

Unless you fish at the console or back of the boat, you don't need two AS GPS HS antennas.

Heading stabilizes the position icon when GPS cannot calculate direction.
An AS GPS HS at the bow to have Heading when at less than .6 mph since you don't get direction then.
An AS GRP at the transom for the console unit so you have GPS and Sonar at the same location.
