Thanks for the vid of the Buffs. And thanks for your service. Hard to believe the Buffs and the 135's are still flying.

Having been in 12 second MITO's and then eventually the 1 minute (joke) I can say I have seen full deflection in both ways trying to maintain level or as close as you can get. All of my time in is the R model tanker and I can say that the turbulence from them is much greater than the A model... I still wouldn't trade it for smoke and water injection!

Yes sir. Same with the 135's and the C130's. Old birds but still reliable. My wifes grandfather built some of the wing jigs for Avco/Textron here in Nashville that were used to build the C130 wings.

I was tracking the B-52's when they made there fake bomb runs for 5 years back in the day. In a little site in Nebraska, was awesome to see how low they could get before they lifted up to fake dropping bombs. We got to score the drop and try to shoot them down with simulated guns and missiles.

Hastings? We had to pop up to 450' for the release. Nellis range release from the camera behind the bomb bay.

Awesome video, thanks for posting it. I spent quite a bit of time in and around kc135's in the late 80's and early 90's. I have a bunch of pics of in flight refueling that I took from the boom operator's position, loved being back there and seeing all types of aircraft pull in behind us for fuel. NKAWTG

Although I was on the LE side of the SP core, you couldn't help but stop in your tracks, no matter what you were doing at the time, and stare in amazement at a display like this. The air would roar and the ground and buildings would shake. Anytime a string of aircraft took off, whether heavy loaders, or fighters, it was always an amazing site.

I rode in the back of EC135s on alert with Buffs up in the Dakotas and at SAC HQ for 8 years. It was a rough ride on the ECs since you were always launching last behind the B52s.

I was stationed at Ellsworth 87-90, got there about a week before the Buffs left so I was fortunate enough to see a few touch and go's. I was amazed watching that plane. I still love to watch the B-1. Just a bad a$$ bird.

Man, they are pouring the coal to those planes on takeoff. Great video and photos.
