Anyone know how the Phoenix 721 performs with mercury 250 4 stroke.
I bet like a scalded ape!
My 2013 with an 8" manual plate and an old ProXS runs 73. I am hearing the new 4 strokes are amazing.

I have had my 920 to 79 with a 250R. 721 and 920 are similar in performance I have read. Still 4in below pad. I have lithiums on the way so hope to dial it in soon
I’m running a 2019 721 with the 250 fs, performance is great. Running mid to upper 70s on the right days, holeshot is really noticeable that boat is up on plain effortlessly. Love it so far . Everybody says they chime walk I’ve yet to experience that. Guess I just know how to drive a bass boat
My 2017 has sho- with a 180 lb partner- can do 76; by myself it will chine walk like hell above 71 -72

I run a 721 with a 250 2 stroke, and my top end is 74-76 fully loaded. I bet you can get close to 80 with the right set up and the new 4 stroke.

This weekend I ran a 230lb partner and his load, my full gear, two full livewells, and 3/4 tank of gas, and I hit 74.5 with a 26p fury. But that was with the 2 stroke Pro Xs.

No different than a 721 with any other engine on it.
I have about the same performance the fastest I have ran is 75 mph fully loaded with 2 guys and had more to go but she then got a little squarely on me and had to let off. Weather temp plays a big part in my boats performance and I run the stock Fury 26 with hydraulic jack plate. I also run faster with 2 guys in the boat meaning myself and another guy
You have something out of whack. I'm running a 250 SHO on a 721. I've ran a mile at 73 mph and never touched the steering wheel until I had to turn to run up a creek. SHOs like to run high.
If you're too low and you over trim it to gain speed; that can cause it. It you're way out of balance in your gear... that can cause some of it. Check your prop to pad height. I honestly don't remember what the average for the SHO should be and since I run a hydraulic jp, I adjust the height as needed.
Sam378. What prop are you running? I'm in a 2020 721 and top speed is 70 @ 5700 ish rpms. 24 p fury ,trimmed out and jack plate set at 2.5 prop to pad
Best performing boat I have ever owned.
A 721 with two persons, live wells full, gear and a 1/2 tank gas is a 72ish mph boat give or take. I love the boat and owned one with a two stroke and other family has one with a 4 stroke. These boats with two people and a tournament load ride awesome, fish awesome, but will not run upper 70's.
Mine always ran 75-77 at blast off depending on time of year with 2, a full tank, and one livewell full. Only time it was low 70's tourney loaded was when it rained all day and the carpet was soaked.
I run a 12" plate though and it does make a difference
My 2022 is a lot slower than expected. 72, maybe 73 in winter with 25 SHO prop @ 5700rpm. I also have a worked Bravo FS that I thought would be a great summer prop, but only getting 69-70 loaded. @5900rpm. I do have dual graphs up front with 360 and AT contributing to the lack of speed, but I still thought she should hit 72 all day.
