    Siphoning gas

Havent' used my boat much in a couple of years. The gas was treated with Sea Foam, so I think it should be ok. But am not sure. I was thinking about siphoning some out and burning it in my snow blower and car over the winter, so come spring I can add a bunch of brand new gas to the old, what is left in the tank. Problem is, my siphon hose goes in far, but stops. I think it hits a 90 degree elbow. I cannot get it to go all the way down to the gas. Any ideas on how to navigate the 90 degree elbow? If not, I will just hope for the best and leave it in and top off the tank next spring.

Disconnect the fuel line at the motor and use the bulb to start pumping out the old gas.

Is there a good way to stop the flow if necessary doing it this way?

I Bend the end of my siphoning hose so it'll jump connections, go around bends.
I wrap damp rag around hose and blow pressure in, gas comes out into gas can.

Just hold the end of the hose above the boat's gas tank and it will stop.

I bought some fuel line from Amazon. It clear and not as flexible as it should be. If it was softer and more flexible I think it would be ok. Right now I put a bend in it and am holding it in that position hoping it will take a "set". Then maybe it will make the turn.

I'd probably sell the boat instead of letting it sit honestly.

I just pull the fuel line off at the tank and use a clear vinyl hose. Have three or four--5 gallon cans and just put your thumb on the end of the hose when changing to another can. Burn it in the truck and you will be fine, unless you smell a varnish odor.

Men have been seeking the answer to that question for time immemorial...

We have yet to find it.

    Lol @ hat creek

I use my boat as a portable gas tank. I get all gas I need around the house from it.
