Charger 210 elite with 250 ho da

Have a new 210 elite that rides as good as I’ve been in... what speeds can I expect when motor is broke in?
    Getting 67 now with. 25” fury @ 6000 rpm
I have received contrasting stories in gas mileage... can I get 20% better that the 2strokes?

On my 250 Honda at the 450 hour mark it has picked up 200 rpm have heard they don’t get broke in till the 500 mark.I would think a larger diameter prop like a tempest a eco emerita ,mirage would be better suited for the power of the Honda .I run mine at 6200-6300 and if it stays around 3000 rpm gas mpg is really good

Hickory Legend had one with a Honda and had it around 70. You might want to ask him what prop he was using.

I make a lot of 180 mile runs and was hoping not to have to stop for gas
I did in my old TRITON with 225 opti and 52 gallon tank

Well you’re not going to make a 180 mile run @ 3k rpms. I don’t hear many people say that 4 strokes get better fuel mileage.

No 65-66 was the best I got but never ran a Tempest Plus or 24 Fury, I was playing with other props and pitches. Plus I never got over 80 hours on my engine.

The Honda 250 pushed the 797 to 70, Ken Stolting has that boat and has told me hes broke 70 in it.

Sounds like 67 is pretty good for a Honda. Wonder what a 27 Tempest would do.

I believe it will run there with the right prop,or close to it. I never could spin a 26 I tried a few. It would come out of the hole fine, just couldn’t get the rpm up.

Low 70's should be obtainable with the right prop and motor height.

I’m just curious of where you fish that you make 180 mile runs? That’s a lot of drive time! On the Upper Mississippi some guys run 100 miles round trip and I think that’s a lot!

Made the 180 mile run a couple times this year... got about 3 MPG running it hard.. can get 3.7 MPG running 5000 rpm
