The boat I recently purchased has Hummingbird 1199's at the bow and console. When I am using the side imaging at the console, the right side looks much clearer than the left. Is that possible!?

Sure ... They are seperate elements. Try the other unit to see if it is the unit or the transducer.

Another consideration is possibly the big motor is blocking the left SI beam.

Maybe post an image .... try trimming up the main motor to see if that helps.

Main motor shouldn't be a problem. The transducer is mounted on the bottom of the jack plate with a transducer shield saver I believe is what it's called. I guess it makes sense that they are 2 separate elements. I had Lowrance on my last boat so haven't dealt with Hummingbirds lately. I'll swap the units next time I'm out and see if it looks any different but it seems like it should be the transducer and not the unit.
