Recessed tm pedal tray Cajun 205 SC installation

Any advice installing recessed tm pedal tray in a Cajun 205 SC . Will it weaken deck ? Do you recommend and brand tray ? Thanks in advance .

Installed an R&R Designs tray (from BlackBearSportinggoods.com) in my Ragin Cajun XL - no extra support needed there.

I was able to peek up under the front deck from inside the rod boxes - no obstructions to worry about on the XL.

Suggest you cut a rectangle template and tape it to the carpet where you think the pedal should be. Then head out to the lake, and stand with your foot in that area Without the pedal there) as you are fishing to verify it's where you want it - move it fore-aft as needed.
I lean on my bike seat a lot, so I positioned the template based on that foot position.

Get some sticky carpet protector film at a home center (the stuff they put down in model homes to protect carpet during Open Houses) - keeps dust out of the carpet!
Wear a good respirator (and run a vacuum close to the tool) whenever you cut fiberglass.
