Just got in my livescope and 93sv. I have a Xpress H20B and there’s really no good spot to mount the black box sonar module under the deck. All the install book says is to install in a well ventilated area away from extreme temperatures. Is anyone mounting these on top of the deck? Are they waterproof or do they have to be installed somewhere under a deck?
They now make an extension cable so you can mount wherever you want.
Never saw one mounted in deck.....always saw the boxes in rod box including mine.....both lowrance and Garmin box were in my rod box....no issues

Someone on here posted that they mounted the GLS-10 box on the deck, citing IPX7 water rating.
