I have a manual 10" slidemaster jackplate and no issues. Better performance and hole shot, was a good decision upgrading from a 6" to a 10"..

need an engine hoist to lift safely and a bracket to bolt to motor--basically, a harmonic balancer pulled and an eye bolt (see locked thread at top of evinrude section) also need to make sure you have enough length in wires and hoses to motor-are the steering hoses long enough and throttle cables?

I'm thinking a 10' setback may be way too much. It would look different too.

Yeah, I think a 10" JP on your boat is right but the 10', well, just to much I'd say.

Good luck! Curious to know how it works out. I have an '05 with an 8 inch Bobs with a 225 Etec HO. Curious as to what the difference in performance will be with 2 inches. How is your performance now without the 10 inch JP?

You will definitely like the upgrade in performance. Mine likes to run higher than the 6" jackplate.

The idea is to get the mota further back in cleaner water and not have to run the bow as high which scrubs speed. With the additional set back you may be able to lay the entire boat flatter and higher....
