I have a 2004 195 ProXL. The boat came with an Evinrude 200HO. I have been running a 27 pitch Tempest on this rig and was able to turn that prop to 6K rpm. I am currently replacing the Evinrude with a new Mercury 200 ProXS. I am also replacing my 6" plate with a 8" plate. My question is what prop should I plan on running on this setup. I will try the Tempest that I have to get a baseline but hoping someone has a similar (294) rig with a Merc that can provide some insight. i think my 195 is a little heavier than a 294 due to two storage boxes up front and two separate livewells. Also any setup help would be appreciated.

There was a thread back in day where some guys ran a dozen props on 294 setups and posted results.
