My suggestion to anyone thinking about getting a rifle suppressor is to get one for a 30 caliber. It will still be pretty quiet on smaller caliber guns like 223 or 17 wsm, plus you can use it on a lot of other rifles.

Looks like about $700 to get one plus a lot of paper work.

For those interested you can get a rifle can for $200 + $200 tax stamp.

I ordered the 30 and 56. Realistically you can just order the 30 and get a thread adapter to fit your 5.56 AR barrel. The suppressor will work just the same with slightly louder report. I'm interested to see how they compare to my AAC and SS cans that cost considerably more.
Looking at their website, I am going to hazard a guess that their cans are substantially louder than the more expensive units. Looks like they rate a .308 Win at 147 dB, which would be about a 9 dB reduction in sound pressure. In comparison, a Crux Nemesis 30 is rated at 33-38 dB reduction.

^^^25ounce on top of that. No bueno
I'm not saying they're the best. You're not getting a $1000 can made of exotic metals and advanced suppression technology for $200. But for someone that wants to dip their toes in to the suppressor game for not a lot of money, well, the choices aren't that broad.
.308 is 165-170 db. A reduction of ~20 db isn't bad. Not for a $200 can.
134db on the 56 model isn't bad. That's about what my OSS is rated for at 1/4 the price. For bench rest shooting does it matter how much weight is hanging off the end of the barrel?
I guess I'll find out when the stamps come in. Worst case I'm not out a lot of money and they get tossed on my least used rifles.
I cant understand this fad... I understand the intent and I've shot both pistol and rifle with them. They do reduce sound levels to some degree some more than others but its not like it makes a weapon silent. The weight significantly changes the feel/balance and all of them are butt ugly. Not interested in paying for one or having to go through the paper work.

I was mistaken. They upgraded the law to include .269 or smaller centerfire for night hunts.
