    Xi3 vs Xi5

After much searching, the Xi3 and Xi5 seem very similar, and there are not many direct comparisons published anywhere. On paper, the Xi3 seems like the better choice for a small boat, due to less overhang and a lower profile.

Am I missing something? Is there any reason the Xi5 is "better"?

Are both motors equally controllable by Lowrance units?

    Thanks!!

Agree on lack of information out there. At first I didn't realize xi3 was the new model after xi5. Just pulled the trigger on xi3 today and installing on pontoon boat. 24v 70lb 60" saltwater with gps.

How about a report on the difference ?
I'm in the market for another tm in the spring for my pond hopper.
I already have the xi5 on my bass boat. No complaints but would like to know what the difference is.

I've done fishing with both - I have a xi3 myself. the deployment with xi5 is sturdier. Otherwise, don't seem to be a difference with operation.
