Anyone ever fish the Marion reservoir? My brother lives at the Marion city lake and we've bank fished but not gone over to the reservoir?

Not sure what kind of fish you are targeting, but they don't even list black bass.

Nothing specific, just wondering if it's worth a look. My brother's no fisherman and has no clue. Next time i'm out there i'll look you up Champ! I'm just a bass fisherman, suck at it and everything else.

The hardest bass to catch are those on Kansas public lakes.
find some sand pits, ponds or reclaimed mines to catch a bunch.
i thought I was a great fisherman till I tried to catch bass on Cheney.
62 years old-zero Bass on Cheney.
caught lot’s of walleye and white bass with a few crappie there.
wilson is a whole different case. 3 fish on first three casts there- bass, white bass and a crappie.
both of these events happened in the 70’s.
But I bet the same would hold true today.
we caught lots of white bass and. Few walleye orienting around some humps on the west side of Marion many years ago. And one screaming wiper that made me appreciate the effort to make them available to fisherman.
keep on fishin and trying.
that is the fun part.

I am here to say yes there are LMB in Cheney. I pulled a 4+lb out of there several years ago when the lake was up flooding shoreline vegetation.
