Call Yamaha and they will give you motor history. As long as all TSB's were done you are fine.

Also make thermostat inspection part of your annual routine especially if you run in salt water. Stuck a little open, the engine will make oil and not reach optimum temp. Mine runs about 140 degrees. Good luck!
water or oil psi sensor?????[/QUOTE]That would be water sensor as in water pressure sensor. The SHO has a high volume water pump and does not seem as sensitive as my Merc. Maybe that's why it wasn't standard equipment. Who knows? The thermostat can stick open. Make it part of annual inspection.

I had to put a temperature gauge and temperature sensor on mine. It would run hot while the stock gauge would still be reading normal
. Now when i am in questionable areas, I can see the temperature starting to rise, and make adjustments before it runs hot

Mine was made 10/11 and considered a "2012" motor. It was confirmed before I bought it to have all the updates...4 part thrust bearing etc.

Mine is 7/11 but it's a 225. Why are the 225's not included? It seems those before and those after mine are.
