Nasty fall weather in Ohio this year, in my opinion....tends to quiet the fishing crowd down a little.

Brad is still recovering from Duke manhandling, toying, drubbing, and embarrassing his beloved Kentucky Wildcats....might be a while before he makes another post. heck one more

I am battling nightmares and can barley see through the tears when I am awake. Stupid Dukies!
It has been a few weeks since I've been on the water. I've been getting a few things done around the yard before the cold hits. I've also been working on a few baits.

Quiet on all fronts right now. Myself, I’m tuckered out from dealing with leaves in the yard that seem to all have fallen in about 5 days. That and erasing political messages from our answering machine.

Had a momentary idea to go out for a last fling yesterday afternoon, but it was 42 degrees and I still had to put the snow blade on the tractor. Woke up this morning to the white stuff, so I guess it’s that time.

Yeah John it is almost that time. I need to put the snow blade on our gator here soon. I also have some wood that still needs split.

I refuse to put the snow plow on my tractor...as soon as i do, the snow will fly.

Yup weather is keeping me off the water as well. While I enjoy college and pro ball games, I'd rather fish a little too.

I took a crack at East Harbor last weekend and caught as many bass as I would have caught at CC this time of year unfortunately. Boat is charged up and ready to go though, I’ll get it out on CC year round if it stays soft and we end up with a “warm-ish” weekend day.

Went to West Branch last Sunday. Struggled. Hopefully get out a few more times. I usually winterize after Thanksgiving.

It's been a struggle for me all year down here in southern ohio. Horrible weather pretty much all year. I'll still go out here and there through the winter as long as the water doesn't turn hard.

Please no more rain! Bite your tongue on the ice! I still haven't been out crappie fishing this fall. I am praying for at least one day that is good enough I can take grandpa out crappie fishing before the water freezes.

Long weekend forecast looks decent. I will be out somewhere. Maybe Shenango or Portage.

I was debating on Portage or Erie....Portage may be the better choice since Erie has been roughed up lately.
