    Transom thickness for 2019 ZX225

Does anyone know the thickness of the transom on a 2019 ZX225. I am installing a Bobs Jack Plate and I want to make sure I get the right length bolts.

Is is ok to re-use the existing ones?

Also what about the bolts from the engine to jackplate. Should they be replaced or is it ok to re-use?

Talked to skeeter. They basically said, IDK. Yamaha just sends us the bolt kit and we install it.

The thickness of the JP should be about the same thickness as the motor mounts on the motor. So....... use the existing bolts.
You will need 4 new bolts to mount the motor to the JP.

Why new bolts for the motor and not the transom. I have considered reusing the bolts, but I tend to over engineer things and would rather be safe than sorry.

Buy new bolts if you want, but the torque specs for the motor mounting bolts is very low compared to the size of the bolt, so they aren't stressed.

The Bob's should come with bolts. Just use those to attach the motor to the jackplate, and re-use the bolts already going through the transom.
