    Thumbs Up TBL Elite Tour

Pretty sure I am fishing this next year.

91% payout, solo competition mirrored after Bassmaster Elite Series, great lake choices, 30 boat max, $2500 first place, $3k TOC, $2500 to AOY, plus a free entry into a Bassmaster Open of your choice ($1500 entry paid)...

    Check it out:
    https://tournamentbassleague.com/rules-and-format

I've been waiting for something like this to come along.

    What do you guys think?

Sounds pretty cool. The lakes seem pretty small for a 30 boat tournament??? Maybe not as I've never fished those lakes

Those lakes have more than enough room for 25-30 boats. I just hope it fills up :)

Checking out thier facebook page from last years events, participation seemed to be really low. Canceled the last two events and looked only 2 showed up for the previous(Lake Washington) event, and 3 the lake before that.

Like to see it succeed, looked like a tough first year

Schedule came out late so no one could fish it. I think it wasn't until May 2018 that the schedule was ready. The guys who could fish it didn't like the 75% payback.

For 2019 the permits are already in and the schedule is out. Payout was increased to 91%. There's a lot of demand for a good solo circuit so we'll see!

Just got this note from TBL:

These are the confirmed dates via MNDNR.

    Waiting on Koronis.
The Cup event is Sept 12/13/14.

I am considering it. All depends on preliminary sign ups as last years turns outs are concerning to me.

Howie will never go to Waconia and didn't hit Lura or Wash/Stella last year. Those three lakes alone are amazing!

I'm going to try and fish both.

Did you fish their tourney this past weekend? If so, how'd it go and was the participation better than last year?

Bummer. Is the whole tour cancelled, or just this first event?

I was looking at this as well but its hard to fork over that much money for a tournament series that has no sponsor or anything. If you were someone looking to join a high profile tournament series there are a few other that would probably be a better options. Hopefully it gains more of a following, maybe I will fish it one day.
