    Cool Tagged Out

I took up archery in February, 51 years old, thinking why not give it a shot? LOL

Well, it turned out to be a good choice and I had a great year. Opening day of turkey season I shot my first gobbler with a bow, after only 10 weeks of practice. Then tagged out in one weekend on my first archery deer season. Excited is an understatement.

Friday night I shot my first buck with a bow.

Last night I shot my second buck, one which would normally get a pass. I harvested him just so I could say I tagged out in one weekend on my first year.

What'd you start with an old Jennings 4 wheel and a Baker death trap?

Home made bows worked back in the day untill i was able to purchase a Fred Bear recurve. Shooting instinctively was all there was untill sights came about. Went to my first bow tournament and i was almost a antique with about 95% of the crowd armed with compound bows with let-off.

Good deal. Don't know if its the pic angle but that deer looks like it has a big body.

Ummm... I've seen photos of the herd where he hunts.

Congrats, Craig... Appears bowhunting agrees with you.
