    Too big to pass...

I typically have a target deer that I hunt for the year, and if I don't get him I just eat the tag. Thursday night this deer came in and I looked him over pretty good before I elected to shoot him. After a long deliberation, I totally whiffed the shot and shot an inch over this deers back at 34 yards. Saturday morning he came by again but this time I didn't miss.
Super heavy 20" wide, he was too big to let walk. After putting my hands on him I am happy with my decision.

    Congrats!

Gawd! The day I pass on a buck like that........ I've only seen a handful anything like that in my life. Did you get a weight on him? I don't think I'd wanna drag him very far.

Nice buck for sure. Did you weigh him? Neck looks swollen like he might be in rut.

The rut is most definitely started here. He was cruising the night I missed him then was hanging with a doe the next two days.
This is the buck I was hunting. A true giant I have thousands of trail cam pics of him. I saw him on his feet the second night in a tree but he was 80 yards away. I really wanted to kill him but he'll still be around next year.
