This is a example of raised expanded metal, it comes in various gauge thickness and hole sizes, it also available flat (punched), usually in 4x8 foot sheets

^This. The originals were carpeted plywood.

Again thanks for the info. If I decide to keep her.....I'll definitely go back to the carpet plywood or a nice aluminum checker plate.

Pulled the boat into shop since rain and bad weather until my cover arrives.
My 1994 Swift 200 is on a single axle trailer already in barn not much room to get around.
The 184 sits low on it tandem axle. I can not trim motor all the way down unless I drop front of boat's trailer way way down.
The 150 is in second hole from top with no jack plate.
    Is this normal.

So it shouldn't concern me the engine will not trim all the way down unless trailer tounge is just inches from the ground?
I need to verify tire size. Maybe the carlise are low profile...

Nope. Mines the same way and it's a 1996, my 1981 17'6 was the same way.

Thanks Matt. Just seems odd. The whole things sits 4-5 inches lower than my 94 Swift 200.
At least I know the trailer springs aren't bad... Lol

Looks like I'll let my buddy have this 184.
He doesn't have a boat. We fished out of my old polar Kraft all summer. He's a good friend so not going to make much of a profit....but I know he's getting a very solid project boat. Just some rubbing and laying in carpet and he's fishing.
