The 921 is a beast and fishes great, and it will haul tail for a big boat. He will be pleased with either one.

It'll never run with a Bullet, but runs really well for a bass boat. And it runs really well in semi rough stuff, meaning. I've run past a lot of people in rougher water because they couldn't. Phoenix may not be as fast on smooth water as some of the really fast but it runs really well in rougher water. And I'm not talking the big rollers and such, no bass boat does that very well. Phoenix is an excellent fishing platform. Now, the 920 is faster than the 921 but not quite as much room and the lesser length will hurt in rough water. Good luck with his decision. Can't go wrong with either.
