    921. It’s massive and still a low to mid 70s boat.

Agree - I was questioning this when I bought as the boat is nearly 22' but after 1 season the only change I would make would be to go to a 922 if they ever make it.

The 921 is a beast and fishes great, and it will haul tail for a big boat. He will be pleased with either one.

Got up to 73 with a 26p Bravo, backed off due to it starting to walk on me, still getting used to driving a boat that does this.

It'll never run with a Bullet, but runs really well for a bass boat. And it runs really well in semi rough stuff, meaning. I've run past a lot of people in rougher water because they couldn't. Phoenix may not be as fast on smooth water as some of the really fast but it runs really well in rougher water. And I'm not talking the big rollers and such, no bass boat does that very well. Phoenix is an excellent fishing platform. Now, the 920 is faster than the 921 but not quite as much room and the lesser length will hurt in rough water. Good luck with his decision. Can't go wrong with either.
