According to this, the cost of lithium ion batteries won't come down much until the cost of cobalt drops.

Sodium Air along with a bunch of other possibilities have been floated as the next big thing. It'll happen eventually, but who knows what option it'll be or when it'll happen. If past experience tells us anything, it's that some factor other than which is the "best" technology often determines the answers to those questions.

If you can truly get 8-10 years of solid performance I think it's a great deal... wonder how it would compare power/on the water time as my 31 everstarts. For the price they have been amazing. Going into my third season and they are rock solid. In calmer summer weather I can go the weekend with out any power loss. I have pushed these batteries and fished in some nasty conditions and they never not once let me down. Now they are heavy suckers (24v set up), if these batters perform as well but lasted 10 years I'd put the cash down.
Good price, but it looks like ya gotta buy at least four of them.
Good news I hope so

I would like to run lithium’s but when I can get 3 lead acid for 300 bucks it makes it hard to justify the price. Plus if I have a battery go down all I have to do is go to Walmart and get a new one and I’m back fishing. If you have a lithium go down your done till you get a replacement shipped to you or warranties.
Looking at these Trilliums.... Price seems right - with a reputable company backing them up.
