    Crappie forum or panfish forum?

    My fillet knife doesn't discriminate.

Seems most of the threads are geared towards crappie, and that's fine. I fish for gills and perch as well, when it comes to tablefare. Might even keep a white bass or two. I've got pics upon pics of my panfish exploits I can post if anyone cares. Crappies aren't my only focus.

My favorite break from bass fishing is chasing monster bluegill, don’t get me wrong, a crappie is always fun but there’s something about the fight of a 10-11” bull

I like pictures, not just crappie pictures.

I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night but did eat three nice crappie for dinner tonight.

I grew up fishing for bluegill but don't have many worth catching around here any more. Fun to catch and tasty. We use to seine flooded ditches for the small crawdads that were the size of crickets. Bluegill loved them. We would keep a washtub with several hundred small crawdads all the time.

It's been a few years since I've been able to go Bluegill fishing but the last time I caught a mess of them at Ky Lake was fun as heck! If them Redears were as big as a Bass, you could never land them!
