    Lowrance 3D Module Mounting

Has anyone mounted a 3D module in a Cougar FTD? If so, where is it located?

My son found a picture or video online last night, and they guy mounted it in the starboard rod box adjacent to the console. That is where I have my Humminbird Ethernet switch now. I think that is where I'll put the SS box as long as the transducer cable is long enough.

Starboard rod locker on the back wall. Route the cable back to the console. The transducer runs from the rear forward, if you remove the throttle assembly and run a fish from the back of the boat Via the vent to there, and then from there to the rod locker it will make life a lot easier!

He put it up under the console on my Lynx, centered on the piece left in the middle. It's out of the way there. On my Cougar, the SonarHub and LSS1 modules were mounted to the front wall and right side wall under the console, but the 3D is a little smaller than those and does fit up inside the console if you want it really out of the way.

If you haven't drilled any holes yet.
