Not bashing by any means, just looking at it objectively. Might be hard for the casual fan or non fishing fan that they want to target to keep up with.
Also in my mind 2 Championships per year will make it hard to compete with the prestige of a Classic.
Yawn, never gonna be even close to the classic. I just don’t see the allure to it, shows that will air in 2020 and we don’t know who wins until then? I think these guys shot themselves in the foot, especially with the sponsorship of smaller companies.
Something else, I have been watching the Ike show (can’t remember the name). It’s not going to make it very many seasons, people who don’t fish don’t want to watch that. It’s boring....

It doesnt seem that complicated. I do think they are over doing all of it but it's their deal. I did notice it only mentions live on the final day of the bpt. With that many guys there will be no way to keep the winners secret I dont think.
Unless I misread the release, it seems the BPT events will only air on the MLF website. The Cup events will be on the Outdoor Channel, and will be only the top 30 anglers in points from the corresponding two BPT events. So it is not only possible, but probable that some anglers wil not make it to ANY Cup event and get 0 TV time for their sponsors. I would think it would be quite difficult to sell yourself to your sponsors when there is no guarantee you will get any face time with people at a weigh in or on TV.
They are trying to turn a small niche TV market into something bigger, with lots of BS.... good luck with that. If the biggest producer in sports could not make it happen... I do not give them much of a chance...
Eh....what a mess. So who is going to be the real "World Champion?" The MLF Cup champion or the Red Crest champion? I think the end of BASS predicted by some on here was a bit premature...
Complicated to me!!! I'm not interested in watching recorded tournaments months after they have been fished.
