    Yamaha SHO canister

Anyone know what this is for & how it is connected? Have a line ( looks like a vacuum line) that is not connected. Appears to go to the port side but not really sure

Look up a post called "SHO problems starting." There's pics in there that I posted that show that canister. Is is for fuel vapors and venting.

It is a vapor recovery canister. Fuel fumes from the vapor separator tank are absorbed by charcoal within the canister. When the motor is running air is drawn through the canister into the intake system, picking up the fuel fumes, where they get burned.

One of the lines is not connected & have no idea where it goes. Will take a pic & post it. Assuming all the lines should be connected, right?

If you are thinking of the hoses that are vented to the atmosphere, one is connected and one is not.
