I Have A 20 XRD With Mercury 225X Motor With Two 12' Talons, I'm Turning A 25 Pitch Bravo At 75MPH Turning About 6800 RPM, There's More There,I'm Thinking Maybe Going To A 26 Or 27 Pitch, What Do Ya'll Think ?

26 Pro Max
I Guess I Would Like To Try One First, I've Already Have A 25 Trophy, 25 TXP, 26 TXP. All Of These Props Ran Good, Just The Bravo Is The Only One To Get Me On Plane With 2 Guys 225ea,3 Batteries,32 Gallons Of Fuel And Live well Full Of Water.
is it better or worse with the Talons up or laid down when you take off?
Alot Easier With Them Laying Down, The Bravo Will Takeoff Either Way, I Wasn't Sure If It Would Be Easier To Find A Bravo Than A Promax And Maybe A Little Cheaper Too, I Really Don't Want To Stock Pile
Props !
That's Why I'm Thinking 26 Or 27 Bravo, The Hole Shot Is Good, Just My RPM's Are Maxed Out.
A Bravo will have a better holeshot that just about anything else with that kind of load. I have been running a Ron Hill Signature Eagle 4 on my boat (20XRD) lately and the hole shot is very good, maybe better than my Bravo, but I haven't tried it with 2 people and a full livewell yet.
A rule of thumb is 300rpm per pitch I would think bravo 28p then have it turned to 27.5 or hydro 27p bravos only are made in even pitch examples would be a 27.5 bravo XS is a 26p with + extra cup this is why I think u would like a bravo 28 then have mark take a 1/2 or full pitch out. Just my .02 good luck and have fun.

Talk with your prop guy about putting some cup in the prop you have.
Can take rpm out and add mph to your set up.

I would listen to this guy ^^^ I had the same set-up, 225X on a 20XD. I ran a 26 Trophy @86 mph and then of course one day slung a blade, bought the new 26 ProMax which was a much more durable prop but was not as fast as the Trophy ...83mph, traded the 26 Promax for a 27 Promax and got a little more speed back. I was also told to go with a Bravo but sold the boat before I could try it.
