    1999 488VS Control Panel Trivia - Left to right, STB: 1. aerator, 2. aerator, 3. ?

    Tried for humorous title...

Anyways, got my 1999 488VS this summer and finally needed to use live wells. Not for me as I never keep and yet to fish first tournament.

So, from port to starboard on the starboard side of the steering wheel, i've got the following switches and knob:

1: Aerator (port), 2: Aerator (STB), and 3: Knob.

    ...and the knob does???

I was thinking controlling live well level but it didn't seem to do anything...maybe how often aerator turns on or for length of time?

I believe it should be timer, how long aerator is off (less or more).

yes one is for the starboard pump and one for the port pump the knob is the livewell timer, also should have slides below the shifter to open and close the livewells or recirculate also depending on model

The timer controls the length of off time, from 1 min to 5min,I believe. The on time is usually set at 2 min. Can’t help with the switches but if they work it should be easy to solve through trial and error.Im sure someone here has one with legible switches if they will send you a pic.
