Anyone ever seen this combo in the mid 80's w/26p trophy? It sounds like BS to me.

    I had a 96 20XD with a carb 200 that would run 82.

    I am also looking at a 99 20XD with a 200 EFI motor.
Sell the motor and buy a 250.

^^^^^All of it. Most 20xd promax combos are in the 87-90 range and probably not with a 26 anything? The best I've ever heard about a 200 running is 80ish. I just don't see a 200 having the rpms to get there with a 26. Maybe I'm wrong.

The guy actually claimed 87-88. I haven't heard of one in the mid 80's, much less the upper 80's, so, I asked about the mid 80's.

I have a 26 trophy that Mark B&B and worked on my boat. I'm still fine tuning the set up, but I don't see this prop getting me into the upper 80's. It was windy yesterday so I didn't get to make any full passes but I did get 80 @ 6300. I think this prop might get to 85, maybe a tad more.

    Eh, maybe lol.

Empty boat, 5 gallons of gas, no troller and 1 battery it may run 85.
My 200 ran 82 wit me and 15-18 gallons of gas.

I would need to know what lower unit and gear ratio. Easy to do the math.

    2.5 200 would have 1.87, bob's nose cone.

In that case, umm, ya he would be humming pretty good. That might be a bit optimistic with that prop.

Would need to spin 6800 RPM to get 85mph with 1.87 gears and a 26p prop. Pretty sure stock limiter on the 200 EFI was 5850.

Mid 70s all day with a 200efi. Mid 80s, have to be one heck of a strong motor to get there. Most 200EFIs don't have a limiter on them.

It wasnt a stock 200 if he was running 87-88. I ran my 92 XRD (1050 pound hull) with a stock 92 200 XRi 83, at 6200ish (cant remember for certain), 28 Performer 3 Bullet Cut, light load. The only thing I had done to it was plug the top 3 holes off on the lower unit and a set of Boyeseen reeds. The reeds did not help on top end any at all.

i think my boat is 1100.i was told it was the last year of the light lay out.i know the tempest that is on it now is not the prop i will end up with.i want to try a trophy but haven't yet.i have a 26 big ear chopper but not much for chopper props.billy eaves lives local and is one of the best prop men around,so i guess i will have to get with him and see what he can come up with.he said when i got the motor broke in to let him know.

Your XRD what was speed on that set up? I'm assuming it's a 20. Thank you

I've got a 27 that I believe is a Billy eaves that I would let go if you think you could turn it.

dont think i could turn it.me a a friend took it out today and ran it with a 25 trophy+.with plate all the way down(3 inches below the pad it ran 70.raised it up 4 clicks from the bottom and it ran 72(two inches below the pad)he says he thinks there is more there to be had.my friend drove it and said he couldnt look at all the gauges to know what water pressure and rpms were.i drove it to about 65 and the rpms didnt get over 4500.may have a tack problem too.
