    The slanted lines look like gas bubbles, just a lot of them at the same time in the same place. They are slanted since the screen is scrolling as the bubbles rise'.

    On the 2nd pic, why all the fish ID symbols at the very top of the screen in zero ft of water? Notice this often on 2D sonar. On the Helix.

    You get those since air bubbles come off the bottom of the hull and sonar will "see" them. The FishID symbols are assigned to air bladders and/or larger air bubbles.
