Yeah I’m sure they have lots of wiggle on that price if a person went in.

I talked to a dealer about it when the 198 was coming out, I wanted a: Yamaha sho motor, trailer, dual console. No batteries, graphs, trolling motor or camera....Price was higher than the loaded 210’s that were being sold at the time, took away my incentive.

I think they thought the hype would spur sales, well in my world price matters.

I looked at the 296 in Lumberton this weekend, was quoted 42k for it as it sat. Wasn't much in the way of electronics...Looked to be a cheap off brand at the console and nothing at the bow....

$42k is a good price even without electronics in my book. I love the color combo on that boat!

Its def pretty, but plain! By the time you add hot foot, trim, electronics etc it would be up there in price...And just a 80lb TM....

No jack-plate either. I am good with the 80# TM. That's all I have on my 496 and it does just fine. I guess if we had more wind up here, it could be different?

Funny use to be a 50 lbs was more than enough, now a 112 is still to small .My 80 minn Kota is more than enough for the 22 ft .Never do more than 5 or 6 and 90 percent of the time it’s 2-3 .I guess if I was going to get serious I would just throw 2 more batteries in the boat for back up.Most of the time my batteries last 2-3 days of normal fishing.

It not so much battery usage for me, its lily pads, hydrilla, grass etc.....we have a LOT of that in summer...I had a 101 on my iClass and needed to crank it up all the way at times to punch thru some of it to get back in the creeks etc...

Cheaper than mine too, but I added a lot of upgrades.....Also for Marshall256, I bought mine from Dry Creek Marine, good experience. Will warn you though, I ordered it from factory to get what I wanted, and it took 5+ months to get it. They don't turn em out very fast at the factory, so you have to be willing to wait on it.....
