I just got my hands on 2 new to me units (HDS 8 and 10). Before I start drilling holes and buying mounts, I would love to see how you placed your console units. I also have an existing in-dash bird installed (when boat was new) on the far right dash panel and an HDS 5 available as well. My initial thought is the 8 at the bow with the 10 and 5 at the console, but I'm not married to that. Pics appreciated.
Here is my HDS 9, I still need to do some finish work to trim it out but I built a bracket out of aluminum angle to put it in the space and angle I wanted.

I have my 9 in the same location ntxwaterfowl. I’m currently working on a bracket that will allow me to flush mount 2-9s in the dash. ��
I’m looking forward to seeing that, it should all fit just right and I bet it will look nice. May copy you in the future when I get a Merc and use one as my ‘gauges’.
