    Tubes and glue ?

Anyone else glue their tubes on their jigs? I have tried all types and have found this glue to work great, not deter bites and the bottle never clogs with the brush. Gluing the tubes, I can catch a dozen fish or more and never have to push the tube back up on the jig and keeps them from tearing up.

Don't fish tubes much but I've been meaning to add a bottle of super glue to my boat to glue other baits to the jig head. Thanks for the tip.

I use the one that has the brush on it. Much easier to apply.

I use mostly all my hand ties (Cinder Dick Jigs) these days, but I did used to get pretty tired of having to adjust the plastic each cast. I did use some glues, not this one tho. Just another thought on this situation is I used to insert the jig head in the tube. It does seem to change the way it falls some, but you can easily bust 20 or more on one tube. The spring coils are also a good option for solids, never tried a tube on one tho. Not trying to hi-jack, just throwing out some other options.l

Blue Locktite in the squeeze bottle works great also.

This is what I use. I like to let the glue set up for a few minutes before using, a second rod comes in handy for that.

    Tools needed:

Take some coated wire (24g) sold in craft stores or craft section and line it up where the end reaches the hooks curve:

Bend it once around the shaft of the line tie:

Snip off one side and bend it tight to the shaft:

Bend the other into the shape of an L:

Now you have a soft plastic grip that keeps the lure in place allowing the lure to be used again and again:

I won't use jigs without it and it never deters strikes.
