Never fished there. Have a club turnament there. Any help would be great.
I never drink water because of the disgusting things that fish do in it.

The only part that I know much about in that area is around Harrisonburg. So that is where I would head. There is a lake right across from the Harrisonburg landing named Town Lake. The cut going up in it usually has some fish in it. Don't be afraid to go to the back of the lake. There is a creek or 2 that runs into the lake. If you catch it just right, the bass will stack up there. Won't take long to find out. This time of year, I have had good success on the river with Firetiger square bills and whatever you fish in the Bandit 200 size. I know other colors will work, that's just what I normally use in the Fall on the Ouachita River. On the points of the creek in the back of the lake use whatever plastics you like. If you can't find any fish there, go on up the river and look for Rosin Creek on the left. Just like any other cut in the river, fish the mouth of it. Then go on up in the creek but proceed with caution. Haven't been up it in a while, but I doubt much has changed. You will see a part of the creek system on the left that spreads out and that is called Dry Lake. I've heard of people fishing it and doing well but I have never fished it. There is a levee that is across the creek in that vicinity. Go through the cut in it. You will go under a bridge of the highway from Enterprise to Harrisonburg. Once under the bridge, there are 2 creeks that run together. The smaller creek to the left has had some really nice fish caught out of it. It can be shallow, but even in the Summer the fish don't seem to care. Start fishing at the mouth of it and if there are fish there you should know it pretty quick.
If none of that works out, fish the bluffs. Just before you got to Rosin Creek, you will see a bluff with rocks out in the river on the right with a small pond on the upstream side of it. That is where the old ford used to be in the old days (or so I have always been told). At times the bass will school up there regardless of what it used to be...lol. Last place I will bother you with. Upriver from Rosin on the right, Boeuf River runs into the Ouachita. You'll know it when you see it is a river and not a creek. Look on google maps to see which stream it is, but Turkey Creek runs into the Boeuf on the right and comes from Turkey Creek Lake. Once you go up into the creek there will be a ditch that comes in from the right. There have been tournaments won in that ditch (just as there have up Rosin and the cut to Town Lake. Hope this helps. If you need more particulars after you have looked at the maps online, let me know and I will tell you what I know. I haven't fished that part of the river in a good while, but I doubt things have changed since those places have produced every year for years. Good luck and let us know how you do!

Well...now that I see the date you posted, I hope it wasn't this weekend. If so, sorry about that. Have been busy this week getting ready for deer season and haven't looked at the site much.
