    Below Douglas dam

I will be camping below the dam the the first week of Nov. I'm not bringing the boat just bank fishing the river, any bait suggestions to try would be appreciated. Bass and crappie are my favorite targets.

Never fished below Douglas but have fished a lot below dams in TN. A 1/8 to 3/8 ball head depending on current with a 3" curly tail grub will catch about every species that swims. I normally use a chartruse or dirty yellow during the day and swap to pearl or white after dusk. A sassy shad will work also. Make sure to try both sides of the river if there is access.

Once you are there talk to the other people fishing to see what the locals use. If there is no one there it's time to go somewhere else
